You are prosperous to the degree that you are experiencing peace,
health, and plenty in your world. While prosperous thinking meansmany
things to people, basically it gives you the power to make your dreams
come true, whether those dreams are concerned with better health,
increased financial success, a happier personal life, more education
and travel, or a deeper spiritual life.
Catherine Ponder, The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity
"Today I will live through the next 24 hours and not try to
tackle all of life's problems at once.
Today I will improve MYSELF -- body, mind and spirit.
Today I will refuse to spend time worrying about what MIGHT
HAPPEN IF...
Today I will not imagine what I would do if things were
different. They are not different. I will do my best with what
material I have.
Today I will find the grace to let go of resentments of
others and self-condemnation over past mistakes.
Today I will not try to change, or improve, anybody but ME.
Today I will act toward others as though this will be my last
day on earth.
Today I will be unafraid. I will enjoy what is beautiful, and
I will believe that as I give to the world, the world will give
to me."
Whether these are the best of times or the worst of
times, these are the only times we've got. Live each day fully
and you will look back on a life that made a difference.
Things are changing fast. Don't hang on to outdate beliefs, even if
they've been around a long time. Accept that there will be new paradigms
to learn.
"Every thought we think changes our biochemistry. Your hormones are
affected
by your thoughts. Pay attention to things that bring you joy, lookfor
the
good news."

For the last 10 weeks, we have discussed some of the most
important issues for growth, raising consciousness and connecting
with our intuition. Below is a summary of these key conditions
for personal and spiritual growth.
1. Attention - being disciplined and committed to make and take
the time to explore who we are.
2. Intention - being clear, positive, and purposeful in all that
we do.
3. Intuition - becoming more open, aware, impersonal, inclusive,
universal, and relaxed and playful
4. Tension - recognizing and accepting the signs of transition.
Remember: if there is no tension, there is no growth.
5. Meditation - using this tool to progressively connect with our
senses, calm the mind, contemplate abstract qualities and then
use intuition to connect with the divine.
6. Action - acting through awareness, and not just reacting.
Having some disciplined routines. "Intuit and Do it."
7. Acceptance - learning to embrace everything with gratitude, as
all is divine. Resistance creates separation.
8. Mind Development - broadening our minds, strengthening our
will, developing more awareness and focus.
9. Taming our Emotions - becoming aware of and acknowledging
emotions, learning not to react to them, and exploring them for
insights.
10. Physical Responsibility - honoring our bodies and the natural
laws that govern our physical form.

Hopkins Q&A: Depression And Parent-Adolescent Disagreements
BALTIMORE — As if parents didn't already have enough to worry
about with their adolescent children, now they may need to become
more aware of how their arguments are being perceived. A study
reported in a recent Archives of Psychiatry suggests that
adolescent children may hold their feelings in —called
internalizing by psychiatrists — and this, in turn, may lead to
development of anxiety or depressive disorders. One of the major
stressors adolescents face that may lead to such disorders are
parent-adolescent disagreements. But in this InteliHealth
interview, Rudolf Hoehn-Saric, M.D., professor of psychiatry at
Johns Hopkins, says parents needn't despair.

Hopkins Q&A: Head Lice Resistant To Leading Treatment
BALTIMORE — Every year, an estimated 6 million children get head
lice, a thought that makes parents' skin crawl. To make a lousy
situation worse, researchers at Harvard University recently
confirmed that lice in the United States are becoming resistant
to the leading chemical treatment used to combat them. The
emerging strain of resistant "super lice" has researchers
scratching their heads. In this InteliHealth interview, PaulG.
Auwaerter, M.D., assistant professor of medicine at Johns
Hopkins, says the obvious solution is to use different pesticides
to eliminate the lice.

Hopkins Q&A: Head Injuries In Soccer
BALTIMORE — Soccer moms have been in the news a lot lately, but
now soccer players are taking over the field. Major
international soccer competitions are building to November and
January climaxes. But in some medical circles, the discussion
centers on a study published in the Journal of the American
Medical Association, which suggests that playing soccer may
result in lower scores on some tests of mental function.
However, in this InteliHealth interview, Edward G. McFarland,
Jr., M.D., director of sports medicine and shoulder surgery at
Johns Hopkins, says it's not time to hang up the cleats.

Thank you for visiting our Web site and requesting our FREE! Baby DevelopmentCalendar, here it is.
-----------------------------------------------------
First Trimester:
* The story of your baby’s life begins when a sperm fertilizes an egg.Within half an hour, the fertilized egg begins dividing at a furious ratewhile traveling down the Fallopian tube to the uterus.
* At three weeks, the bundle of cells can now be called an "embryo"and the tiny heart begins to beat.
* The part of the nervous system that deals with equilibrium and spatialrelations also begins to develop. That means that whenever the mother moves, the baby can feel the change in spatial orientation and will tryto change her position accordingly in order to re-stabilize herself. Shecan also respond to tactile stimulation as her coordination improves.
* Development between third and eighth weeks is highly important sincethe outlines of all internal and external structures are developed. Duringthe second month, the mother's total volume of blood increases to accomodatethe growing fetus.
* As we go into the third month, her heart is beating more strongly, she can turn her head, open her mouth, and swallow amniotic fluid. Sheis growing rapidly. Fingers and toes of the fetus have soft nails. By theend of the third month, the fetus is four (4) inches long and weighs afraction over one ounce. As you gain weight, your waistline begins to disappear.
* Remember that the baby can now experience many sensations and isnow able to begin communicating with you. She has immense potential waitingto be stimulated and developed.
* Your baby is intimately connected to you emotionally as well as physically. Not only are the substances you intake transmitted to your baby, but youremotions and feelings are transmitted to her as well. Since she sharesyour endorphins, which are chemical substances that produce an enormoussense of well-being, your child can also sense and share your emotionalsensations. It is therefore very important to be happy, peaceful and serene.Your happiness and positive feelings can induce equally pleasant feelingsin your child.
-----------------------------------------------------
Second Trimester:
* In the second trimester the head is developing more actively thanthe rest of the body: the eyes, mouth, nose, and ears are almost completelyformed, creating a well-defined face. At the fourth month, the skin ispink and transparent. The fetus is now 6 to 7 inches long and weighs about5 ounces. Your abdomen begins to swell, your nipples and the area aroundthem start to darken. If you have dark hair and fair skin, some parts ofyour face skin may darken. At the end of this month you may begin to feelthe movements of your baby that feels like a fluttering of wings.
* By the fifth month she demonstrates a broader range of gestures.Your baby exercises her senses of touch and movement. The fetus sleepsand wakes at regular intervals and is much more active. At the end of thismonth weighs around half to one pound and measures about 10 inches long.
* After the fifth month, something extraordinary occurs: she can actuallybegin to hear! She hears the sounds coming from your body: your voice, and the voices of other people who are speaking close by —perhaps her father’s-.She can also hear environmental sounds. Rhythmic music calms her and stridentsounds excite her.
* The sensory organs continue their development. She is able to reactto sweet and sour tastes as well as bitter ones. She hears and learns andthe ability to react to stimuli is already present.
* By the sixth month the fetus is continuing her rapid growth. Theskin is wrinkled and covered with soft hair. The fetus will be 12-14 incheslong and weigh about 1 to 1 1/2 pounds.
-----------------------------------------------------
Third Trimester:
* By the 7th month, her key organs are already developed: Thenervous system has matured to the point that it controls respiratory functionsand body temperature, the lungs would be capable of breathing if she wereto be born at this point. Her movements are more organized, and her musclesstronger. She exercises by kicking and stretching. Calcium is being storedand fetal bones are hardening. Now the baby weighs about 3 pounds and sheis about 15 inches long. For some women, stretch marks may appear on theabdomen and breasts.
* During this month, she begins to show signs of personality and intentionalbehavior. Not only does she move to the rhythm of music, but she also preferssome types of music to others. By the end of this month, she can see! Shereacts to changes in lighting and can follow a flashing light.
* Her skin is smooth, her legs and arms are chubby by the eigth month. The nervous system is fully formed and ready to operate through a complexmass of neurons. The signals they emit turn into messages, ideas, decisions, memory. She doesn't move as often, but her movements are stronger whenshe does. The baby is about 18 inches long and weighs about 5 pounds.
* During the 9th month, she will continue growing and developing untilbirth. The fetus is gaining about half pound per week. The bones of thebaby's head are soft and flexible for delivery. At 40 weeks your baby willbe full term and weigh between 6 and 9 pounds. The baby should arrive anywherebetween 38-42 weeks. Many internal physiological transformationsare occurring, preparing her for her transition to the world outside thewomb. Toward the end of this month, when the baby drops into a lower position, you will breath easier and you may have an increased need to urinate.
* Your baby is ready to be born…

Applying this to current events, the original empire (the 'he-goat fromthe west') can be seen as a Christian-oriented government that conquersthe world philosophically, spreading its democratic (Greek) 'rule' almostto the ends of the earth. In this respect it follows in an uncanny waythe Greek victories of Alexander.
At the peak of its power, however, its Christian orientation disintegrates, followed quickly by political collapse. Thus the quotation that leads ourchapter.
Part of this has already occurred. The western world, as we have seen, has recently abandoned its championship of Christ and has begun to espousesecular and political philosophies in His place.
Christ's moral teaching has been put out of the schools and the fiercenessof its exclusion by western leaders has convinced a great many young thatits teaching is bigoted, often irrelevant and subject to serious question-- in some cases, even sanity.
This has sent moral instruction reeling. As a consequence, the ethicalunity of the Christian millenium is in the process of dissolution -- adisintegration visible all across the western world. And soon, becauseof this evaporation of faith, the political power of western governmentwill, itself, dissipate. This apostasy promises political and social catastrophe, not only for the United States, but for all the other nations of secularBabylon as well.
If we accept that the western world in general is Babylon, then theUnited States in particular represents the far west portion of this doomedkingdom. And if we accept the fact that the world is preparing itself rightnow for the second war of the Apocalypse, then we must consider that TheU.S.A. has a very special place in the prophecies of scripture.
It is a place the Bible calls 'Javan'. And because a powerful segmentof people within it's borders will sustain a deep faith in Christ throughoutthe period of the tribulation, it is destined to be the only segment ofthe western world capable of standing off the initial onslaught of theEast when its dominions come rolling over Babylon in the days ahead.
Jesus indicated, by His revelation concerning the two Hellenist visitorsjust before His crucifixion (Jn.12:20-23), that Greece would be integralto the spread of Christianity across the world.
When the Holy Spirit directed that the New Testament be composed inthe Greek language, it reinforced what Jesus infered, binding Greece andwhat it stood for to Christ, and defining Babylon as the western world.

LOS ANGELES -- Helllooo NNewwwman.
Three voices of "Toy Story 2" talk acting, voiceovers and, well, toys.
Wayne Knight is so used to being met with that drippingly sarcasticgreeting from his famed "Seinfeld" gig that he's taken aback slightly whenmeets a table full of film journalists who resist the temptation.
"Actually, I'm kinda used to it by now," said Knight, the moon- facedactor who forevermore will be associated with the unctuous mailman andneighbor he played on the famed '90s TV sitcom. "I mean, after about thethousandth time I hear it, I start to think, `how original,' but I guessit's flattering that so many people know the show and feel so stronglyconnected to it."
In "Toy Story 2," Knight's TV sitcom roots place him right at homein the cast of actors who give voice to the plaything characters populatingthis lively, inventive sequel to the groundbreaking 1995 computer animatedfilm.
Featuring the return of Woody and Buzz Lightyear, the rag cowboy dolland spiffy space action figure voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen (veteransof TV's "Bosom Buddies" and "Home Improvement"), "Toy Story 2's" televisionconnections also extend deep into the supporting cast.
Along with Knight, who voices the film's villain, sneaky toy collectorAl McWhiggin, the roster of sitcom stars lending their vocal talents tothe picture includes Kelsey Grammer ("Frasier") as the Prospector, DonRickles ("CPO Sharkey") as Mr. Potato Head, Annie Potts ("Designing Women")as Bo Peep, Laurie Metcalf ("Roseanne") as Mrs. Davis, Jonathan Harris("Lost in Space") as the Cleaner, Estelle Harris ("Seinfeld") as Mrs. PotatoHead and John Ratzenberger ("Cheers") as Hamm.
Knight, Harris and Ratzenberger were among the cast and crew who gatheredat a Beverly Hills hotel recently to talk to movie writers about the film, courtesy of Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios.
All three actors agree that voice work might look like a breeze butpresents some special challenges.
"In this kind of thing, there's not a traditional sense of doing scenes,"said Knight. "You're alone in a sound studio and you're doing several takesof the same line. And all of the
things that an actor normally holds on to -- setting, props, other actors-- is taken away and you're in a vacuum where everything is done from yourimagination. I come out of some of the sessions sweating profusely, asif I've been running laps with my voice because you're really throwingyourself into it."
Ratzenberger, who also provided the words for the portly piggy bankHamm in the first film, said the familiarity of sitcom actors and theirpersonas to a wide audience is a plus in doing voice work.
"The producers came to me and told me when they were drawing Hamm forthe first film that the voice they used was that, ohh- yeah know-it-allone, and when it came time to cast voice actors I was the first one theythought of," he said. "Because they figured they'd been using my voiceanyway -- Cliff, the know-it-all mailman, Hamm, the know-it-all pig."
For Harris, best known as George Costanza's kvetching mother, the processis a mixed blessing. "I love to become the character and imagine what herlife was like," she said. "I don't like to act, I like to become. BecauseI can detect acting, and it makes me nauseous."
However, she said, "I cannot stomach my voice. When I'm talking, Isound like Marlene Dietrich to myself, but when hear myself on tape I soundlike a Munchkin. So I usually can't stand to watch myself on screen. IfI do, I can only do it once."
Still, Harris said she was enthralled and thrilled by how "Toy Story2's" creators brought all the fragmented parts of voice and art togetherinto a fantasy whole.
"It's not a cartoon movie," she said. "The toys became people to meand I became a toy. It was magical. When it was over I was screaming Bravo, but nobody screams Bravo anymore. They go Whooo! Whooo! I tried going Whooo!,but I couldn't do it, so I went back to Bravo."
Ratzenberger agreed wryly. "Not too shabby, huh," he said of the finishedfilm.
As for the film's gentle themes about toys and their place in our lives,Knight said his character, the greedy collector, represents a kind of perversionof the joys of childhood.
"I've seen this sort of thing before when I was doing `Jurassic Park'and came in contact with collectors and autograph hounds," he said. "Anybodywho has a sort of monomaniacal fascination with a specific aspect of something, they live their entire lives
for that little thing. They don't see the rest of the world except inthe context of what they're fascinated by. I find that interesting, andI think that's where Al McWhiggin was coming from. Al is definitely lookingthrough the knotholes of one of the trees, instead of seeing the forest."
Ratzenberger said his character also connects with a type of personhe's always been fascinated with -- the inveterate know-it-all.
"I love people like that, the people who are always carrying big ringsof keys, because they'll never admit they don't know something," he said."Ask them the most obscure question and they'll give you an answer, evenif they don't really know it. The beauty of Cliff on `Cheers' was thatthey gave me the license to improvise on that.
"I've worked so many different jobs in my life, out of necessity. Iworked in a corrugated box factory; I was a tree surgeon, a blacksmith,a carpenter. So there's a lot of knowledge I actually do own, but I lovetaking that knowledge and twisting it. If you say it with enough authoritypeople will buy it -- like, oh, your average woodpecker will peck 674,000times a day ... People will go, oh really, how do you know? Well, I reada lot. That's the genesis of Hamm."
For Harris, Mrs. Potato Head is an outgrowth of her own personalityas a self-admitted "talker."
"I had elocution lessons as a child and I learned that I have thisinnate sense of comic timing," she said. "You're born with it. Even inconversation like this, I'll say something that I don't mean to be funny, but people will think it's hysterical. And I look at them as if to say`What did I say?' But I don't do that anymore because I know it probablyhas to do with the way I said it, without thinking of the way I said it.It just comes out. That's why you cannot be a liar if you're going to bea talker."
All three actors said they're proud of "Toy Story 2" and the positivevalues it represents. Harris, especially, said she's happy to be in a moviethat she can sit through in the company of her children and grandchildrenand feel proud of.
"There's one moral in the movie that I have never seen expressed anywhereelse, and the children are going to remember it," she said. "And it's thatyou don't throw away your toys, and, later on, don't throw away your friends. If we all remembered that simple little idea, the whole world would bea better place."
I was just watching a movie when one of my thoughts struck - it's alwaysjust a word-like "work" and is always immediately followed by "wish I weredead (IWIWD for short)." It can be the messy house thought, the Christopherthought, the I'm fat thought, the catbox is dirty thought, the oral hygienethought, or whatever. It's STRIKE and "IWIWD"
Anyway, I have NEVER identified what I feel with anxiety. I don't sitaround ringing my hands or getting hyperventilated or whatever. I don'thave anxiety.
But all of the sudden - POW - I realized that IS what it is. A singleword causes me so much internal anxiety so suddenly that IWIWD. Anxietycaused by...? Fear? Fear I can't handle it? Fear I'll fail? what? Anyway.POW - it's anxiety - DUH!
Well, that's it. It hasn't helped yet exactly but there it is. I'llhave to wait for the next revelation. I'm taking all kinds of vitaminsagain including the "ginkos" and such so my brain will be sharp as a tackand figure all this out! :>)
